Answers

Can I do my own books and let you handle payroll or vice versa?

Absolutely! We offer all our services to make your life simpler but were happy to take on as much or as little as you may need. Typically we find that because of our efficiency in the area of bookkeeping, payroll, and tax compliance we can do it affordably and quickly. This allows you to focus on building your business!  Our goal is maintaining a good relationship with you so that you’re comfortable reaching out with questions about anything you decide to do yourself.

What can CTA Advisors LLLP do for helping start my business?

Our initial consultation is absolutely free, and we work through a checklist of what you’ll need to get your business off the ground in a strategic and efficient way.

How do I get you my information?

There are a couple ways! The first is in person. We love chatting with are clients, you can swing by and drop off documents without the need for an appointment.  The next is our online portal, where you can securely upload your documents. We can send you a link to setup your profile. Scan and upload, or access the portal from your phone and upload a picture.

What does it cost to file my taxes?

We do our best to estimate the fee so you know what it’ll cost. Fee’s will vary by complexity of the tax return. I.e. do you have a small business, do you qualify for credits like solar, foreign income etc.. We won’t nickel and dime you, and transparency is our favorite.

Does filing an extension keep me from paying penalties?

Yes.. and No.. Extensions are designed to give taxpayers more time to “file” but not to pay.  So while you won’t get a failure to file penalty, you may still have to pay a penalty if you owe taxes. We help you estimate what your tax liability might be so that we can try and have it paid on time, even if your taxes aren't 100% ready to file.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

The simplest way for us to get a picture of what you will need for the current year is view the last tax return you filed. Also any tax documents you may have already received. If in doubt, breath easy, we’ll help you figure out what you need.
